I came in with severe lower back pain and sciatica, and from the first visit, the entire experience was professional, thorough, and reassuring. Ive been a patient of Dr Subramanian for 3  years and had a discectomy and laminectomy 3 years ago. He did not try to pressure me into anything unnecessary. He and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Ive had a good experience every checkup. I had a microdiscectomy with a Barricaid implant done by Dr. Subramanian. He explained everything clearly from day one — what was going on with my disc, what the surgery involved, and what recovery would really look like. I felt like I was in very safe, capable hands. The surgery went well. The nerve pain I’d been dealing with for months was basically gone within weeks, just as Dr. Subramanian advised.  Dr. Subramanian’s skill and attention to detail were obvious, and he clearly knows the Barricaid procedure. The follow-up care was also great — he and his medical team took the time to check in, answer questions, and make sure I was healing the way I should. I’m now back to normal life with no complications, and the difference this surgery has made is huge. Dr Subramanian and his team were awesome! I was experiencing constant back pain on some level with periodic numbness in my legs. After reviewing my mri Dr Subramanian recommended we do a laminectomy. He is very well at what he does and surgery went extremely well. I feel like I have got my life back and I can not thank him enough. What a huge relief! I was walking using a 'walker' with extreme pain and I'd lost my balance and could barely stand without support. Dr Subramanian was recommended for me and I'm glad I was. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, understanding what I was going through. After first evaluation it was decided I'd need a cervical fusion. Very organized office, made sure I was available for appointments and helped with pain relief. I'm glad it's done now, with no pain or balance issues. Dr. Subramanian performed my ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) surgery. I was able to go forward with this much needed surgery because of his patience, guidance, honesty, and ability to perfectly answer all of my questions. I felt comfortable asking him any and all questions that I had. He is very knowledgeable about all things related to the spine. I woke up from surgery and was relieved that I immediately had regained a great percentage of the strength in my right arm and  the terrible pain that I had in my upper neck prior to surgery was gone! I now have only some mild discomfort in the upper neck that I believe is the normal post surgery pains and I am hopeful that will get better in the coming months during my recovery and healing.
